Library Study Spaces & Room bookings

Connect2

Book a study space on the Connect2 booking system. Rooms can be booked up to 7 days in advance for up to 4 x 2 hour slots (maximum 8  hours) per day. Look under Book by Category/Group Study Space to book this resource.


Treforest

Library Study Spaces
There are 52 bookable study spaces at Treforest Library.

Group Rooms

The three bookable group study rooms at Treforest contain plasma screens, suitable for practising presentations. 

Room Capacity

Level 1 Room 1 – 2 students

Level 2 Room 2 – 2 students

Level 2 Room 3 – 2 students

Study Booths

4 Booths are  Level 1 currently available for single student use. The Booths contain plasma screens, suitable for practising presentations.


Glyntaff

Library Study Spaces

There are 27  bookable study spaces in the Glyntaff  Library . Some have PCs , others have access to power sockets for laptops, or  study space without power sockets.


Cardiff

Library Study Spaces

There are 16  bookable study spaces in the Cardiff  Library. Some have PCs or MACs, others have access to power sockets for laptops.

Pods

The two bookable study pods at Cardiff contain a table and a chair but no plasma screen. Bring your own laptop; there are sockets available in the pods. 

Pod Capacity:

Blue Pod – 1 student

Green Pod – 1 student


Newport

Library Study spaces

There are 19  bookable study spaces in the Newport  Library . Some have PCs or MACs, others have access to power sockets for laptops.

Laptop Loans

Connect2 laptops- the final day for collection will be Friday 11th December. 

Laptops are now available to loan from the library. Laptops can be booked up to 7 days in advance. Book using the Connect2 Booking system or use the new Self-Service laptop service. 


Connect2 Booking

Reserve your laptop on Connect2. Collect from the library desk. Loan period is 1 week. The laptop must be returned after this period for updates. You can make a new booking subject to availability. 


Self-Service Laptops *New*

All our campus libraries now offer a self-service laptop collection service. 

There is no need to book, the laptops are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Laptops can be borrowed for up to 4 weeks. The laptop must be returned after this period for updates. You can make a new booking subject to availability. To use this service you will need your student ID card.  

You will need to logon to these laptops with your student account before leaving the building. Failure to do so will prevent them from working off campus.
