Returning in person

If you live near any of our campuses, the quickest and easiest way to return your books is in person.

Please check the library opening times before traveling.
Treforest and Glyntaff libraries offer 24/7 external book drop boxes outside the library.

Postal Returns

To support library users who cannot return items in person we are offering a free pre-paid postal book return service.

We understand that travel to a campus  may not always be possible. Our pre-paid postal returns service Clicksit Collect+ offers you a way of returning your library books/items free of charge.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer an international returns service; if you need to return library books and are based outside of the UK please contact us.

Clicksit Collect+

Who can use the service?

This service is offered to all students who fall into one of these categories:
1. Final year students who will not be returning to campus and are unable to return books in person.
2. Students who do not live locally to any USW campus.
3. Students who have a health issue or disability which may make it difficult to come to campus.
4. Your books have been recalled and are therefore needed by other students.

How to use the service

If you are eligible, please visit the returns portal at: and enter your e-mail address to generate and download a returns label. You will need to print the label at home. If you don't have access to a printer you can take the QR code to your nearest Collect+ drop off point where they will print it for you.
Attach the label and take it to your nearest drop off point. There are over 7500 Collect+ drop off points across the county.

To find your nearest drop off point click on the ‘Track’ button in the email that has been sent to you.
Clicksit Collect+ will also send an e-mail with further information on returning your parcel, which is also covered below.

Here is some information to help you pack your parcel(s):

• Weight up to 10 kgs per parcel
• Maximum dimension: 60cm x 50cm x 50cm
• Please pack items securely
• If you have a lot of books you are welcome to send them in multiple parcels

Drop the parcel off at your preferred Collect+ point and you will be given a receipt. Please retain this as this is your proof of return.

Once the books arrive back on campus they will be quarantined for three days before being removed from your library account.

If you have any questions or need further help with the service please contact us.
