What is BoB?
BoB is a service from Learning on Screen that enables you to record and view TV and radio online, from over 65 free-to-air channels including 13 foreign language channels.
What do I need to use it?
A PC, Mac, Tablet or any mobile device that has an internet connection. Please note that only programmes that have been added since January 2014 will be viewable on Apple iOS handheld devices.
What does it do?
- Record – you can schedule up to 5 programmes per day; you can record programmes from the last thirty days.
- Playback – you can playback recordings over the internet.
- Access the national BoB online archive – as well as the material you have recorded, you can playback and make clips from all the material recorded by university staff and students around the UK. You can also access more than 800,000 archived BBC TV and radio programmes, dating from 2007.
- Make clips and create your own play list – you can have your own profile called MyBoB, so you can make your own clips and store play lists of your favourite broadcasts.
You can email Angharad Evans email@example.com, if you are experiencing any problems with the service or if you have any questions.
