About
Angharad Evans has been a Librarian in the Arts / Creative Industries for most of her career. She is based at the Cardiff Campus.

Experience
Angharad has worked throughout her career in Higher Education libraries, having worked at the Cardiff Institute of Higher Education (now Cardiff Metropolitan University), University of Glamorgan, University of Wales, Newport and the University of South Wales.

Responsibilities

  • To act as main point of contact with academic staff, students and researchers in the areas of Animation and Games, Broadcasting and Journalism, Design, Drama, Dance and Performance, Fashion and Advertising, Film and Visual Effects, Music and Sound and Photography and Art.
  • To provide education and guidance in using and finding information to groups of students, researchers and staff in the subject areas of Animation and Games, Broadcasting and Journalism, Design, Drama, Dance and Performance, Fashion and Advertising, Film and Visual Effects, Music and Sound and Photography and Art. 
  • To provide one-to-one subject enquiry support by appointment.
  • To develop the print and digital collections of information resources in liaison with academic staff in the subject areas of Animation and Games, Broadcasting and Journalism, Design, Drama, Dance and Performance, Fashion and Advertising, Film and Visual Effects, Music and Sound and Photography and Art and manage the information resource budgets in these subject areas.
  • To create learning materials and guides to assist users in using library resources.
  • To work with other members of Learning Services and other departments in the University on specific projects.
  • To represent the Library Service at various academic committees and meetings.
