Researchers! Whether you’re a seasoned postgraduate or inexperienced undergraduate - there’s no paywall to stop you accessing our wondrous collection of high-quality books, journals and professional library support – free to all USW students and staff.

What can you use in your research?

FINDit is our USW research discovery resource with access to nearly our entire online and print library of books, journals and USW theses. To view online, remember to go into FINDit and then ‘sign in’ with your student Unilearn login and password.

Databases Explore smaller resources that are more subject specific than FINDit. You can choose one of our 407 databases by name, subject or type.

A subject guide is great for students wanting to start their research from a place that already has lots of recommended databases, books, journals and websites for courses.

And our Faculty Librarians will be around over the summer months to help you. Email or book online for an appointment.

Guides

There are plenty of self-help guides available to help you explore the sea of resources for research.

  • How to research: A guide to support you in searching for a wide range of information resources essential for your studies.
  • Literature reviews: This guide is an introduction to the Literature Review process - including its purpose and strategies, guidelines, and resources to get you started.
  • How To.. library tutorials on YouTube: Bite sized videos covering basic and essential library skills.
