St David is the patron Saint of Wales and is part of celebrating everything Welsh on 1 March every year along with daffodils, leeks and red dragons.
This year to celebrate everything Welsh we have collected a list of common words, sayings and idioms used in Wales. Some of the words are Welsh and some of them are Welsh English (Wenglish) but all have specific meanings in Wales.
Don’t forget the Library has its own Cwtch corner where you can relax with a fiction book or puzzle.
Don’t forget The Centre for the Study of Welsh Writing in English collection housed in Treforrest but you can browse it through Findit.
