Print thesesAll print theses are now stored in our off-campus document storage facility at Crown Records Management in Cardiff. Should the digitised version not be appropriate for you use, or it is embargoed, then the print copy may be made available.
If you are looking for a thesis produced by another UK institution, FINDit has several routes to UK Theses. Go to Find Database and then Title:
1. EThOS (external link)
Some of the most popular British theses are now freely available electronically through the British Library’s EThOS service. EThOS holds thousands of theses which have been scanned, others can be scanned (on request) free of charge and others theses are only available for a fee. You will have to register with EThOS to access or request theses.
2. Theses collection wales (external link)
Many European theses are available online through DART – the Europe e-theses portal (external link). DART-Europe is a partnership of research libraries and library consortia who are working together to improve global access to European research theses. Dart is continuously updated, contains about 300,000 records from 423 universities in 23 European countries.
OATD (external link) aims to be the best possible resource for finding open access graduate theses and dissertations published around the world. Metadata (information about the theses) comes from over 1100 colleges, universities, and research institutions. OATD currently indexes 3,453,652 theses and dissertations.
